About Capitol Cinema…

On September 21, 2007, film made its official return to this historic 1926 movie palace with the screening of “Into the Wild” at the inaugural South Dakota Film Festival. In 2013, a new state-of-the-art digital projector was installed.  Capitol Cinema, a subsidiary of Aberdeen Community Theatre (ACT), shows films during ACT’s off season. December through March, Capitol Cinema shows Hollywood films seven nights a week.
