Volunteer Opportunities

A community theater is just that; a community effort. Each year, people of all ages volunteer countless, passionate hours of time to create magical, memorable performances. We are actively soliciting help in the following categories on an ongoing basis. If you have live theater in your blood, please get involved. We do require a firm commitment of time once you choose to get involved for a specific event.  Generally, experience is not required.

Acting – onstage roles (no experience needed)
Assistant directing – aid the director during rehearsal
Box office – sell tickets to performances and film events
Costume construction – construct costumes according to direction of costume designer (sewing not required)
Costume design/coordination – design and/or oversee construction of costumes
Fund raising – assist in mailings and calling to prompt giving
House manage – oversee ushers seating patrons, set up concessions
Improvisation Group – rehearses and performs theater games
Lights – run light board during performance
Maintenance – routine maintenance and cleaning of theater facility
Musicians – perform during production
Office assistance– assist in maintaining regular office hours and assisting with various duties
Props – gather, construct and organize properties for production
Publicity – write news releases, write monthly newsletter
Scenic painting – paint set according to direction of set designer
Set construction – build set according to direction of set designer
Set design/coordination – design and/or oversee construction of set
Stage managing – oversee backstage activities during performance
Sound effects – run sound board during performance
Ushering – seat patrons one hour prior to performance
