As the half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson has newly-discovered powers he can't control, a destiny he doesn't want, and multiple monsters hot on his trail. When Zeus's lightning bolt is stolen, Percy must travel to the Underworld and back, solve the Oracle’s riddle, and prevent a war between the gods. THE LIGHTNING THIEF musical is adapted from the best-selling book of the same name by Rick Riordan and features a thrilling rock score.
Aberdeen Community Theatre's Young People's Theatre is looking to cast 15-20 students between 6th and 12th grade, 2 adult men, and 1-2 adult women for this mythological rock musical. Opportunities for featured casting in the ensemble. Additional chorus roles to be determined.
"The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical" auditions will be held in Walker Hall at the Capitol Theatre, 415 S Main St., March 3rd and 4th at 6pm. No experience needed. No need to prepare.
Tentative show dates: April 9-13 (Depending on volunteer schedules)
