Synopsis of the Class: Students will be learning about single-arm sword stage combat. They will explore combat in theater, learn movement techniques with prop weapons, and practice choreography for ACT's YPT production of "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical." Actors who plan to audition for "The Lightning Thief" are strongly encouraged to take this class.
When/Where: Monday, February 10th, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, with a tentative make-up day on February 11th, at the Capitol Theatre, 415 S Main St.
What to bring: A water bottle and clothes suitable for movement are required. Athletic or leather gloves, paper, and something to write with are encouraged but not required.
Cost: $10 per student.
Age Range: 6th to 12th grade.
Participation: Maximum of 26 students and a minimum of 10 students.
Registration deadline is February 3.
Registrations will be accepted in the order they are received.
If interest exceeds capacity, actors may be put on a wait list.
